Show HN: Strada – Cloud IDE for Connecting SaaS APIs 19 by arash-khazaei | 6 comments on Hacker News. Hi HN! I’m Arash, one of the founders of Strada ( https://ift.tt/wGaSKc2 ), a cloud IDE for building automation workflows across your company’s SaaS apps. Strada handles integrations, triggers, infrastructure and observability while letting you write core workflow logic in Python (more languages soon). It's for teams that hit limitations with low-code tools while building with internal apps — eg. Zendesk, Jira, Salesforce, Slack. You can access our docs at ( https://ift.tt/YmkZfVU ). While working on our first product (a unified accounting API), we learned that as companies grow, their integration teams become more technical but typically still use low-code tools. We also observed that as LLMs are becoming popular, these teams (usually outside of engineering) are adopting more code. For example, we spoke with multiple companies that generate integration code with an LLM and use

Ask HN: Help, any US-based companies that allow you to work from Europe? 32 by jc_811 | 34 comments on Hacker News. Hi HN - a bit of a personal post here. I'm an American citizen but due to some personal/family reasons I have to relocate to the EU this year. I will be relocating without a residency visa, but there are a handful of visas out there that would allow me to work for a company outside the EU (eg "Digital Nomad" visas). The only thing I'd need is permission from the company to let me work from the EU and I could handle the rest of the visa/immigration challenges. I'm hoping somebody out here could provide any insights or leads on companies hiring who are flexible on location. I've been attempting for months to find a fit but so far have come up short; hence why I am reaching out to the network here. The HN community has been amazing over the years so here's hoping somebody out there will be able to help! Roles I'm seeking are Customer Engi

New top story on Hacker News: Show HN: You don't need to adopt new tools for LLM observability

Show HN: You don't need to adopt new tools for LLM observability 24 by tomerf2 | 4 comments on Hacker News. If you've built any web-based app in the last 15 years, you probably used something like Datadog, New Relic, Sentry, etc. to monitor and trace your app, right? Why should it be different when the app you're building happens to be using LLMs? So today we're open-sourcing OpenLLMetry-JS. It's an open protocol and SDK, based on OpenTelemetry, that provides traces and metrics for LLM JS/TS applications and can be connected to any of the 15+ tools that already support OpenTelemetry. Here's the repo: https://ift.tt/KzPQBLJ A few months ago we launched the python flavor here ( https://ift.tt/sj9W4vf ) and we've now built a compatible one for Node.js. Would love to hear your thoughts and opinions! Check it out - Docs: https://ift.tt/H8TxPIc... Recently I've been working on making LLM evaluations fast by using bayesian optimization to select a sensible subset. Show HN: Miracode, a Minecraft programming font that is readable 2 by IdreesInc | 0 comments on Hacker News. I always believe in using what one makes, which is unfortunate because I made Monocraft. For the past year I've been stuck looking at those pixels while I code, so over the weekend I tried my hand at making a version of Monocraft that was more legible. Introducing Miracode, a Minecraft programming font that is actually usable! Using a custom algorithm, I've converted adjacent pixels from the original font into strokes, which allow for a more smooth look while maintaining that Minecraft-y look. Give it a try and let me know what you think! CueCam Presenter is my Mac app (actually a suite of Mac and iOS apps) to run better presentations on your webcam. Editing cards should feel natural to anybody used to Markdown. I came to create CueCam as an "embedded entrepreneur". I had some success with my camera app "Shoot Pro Webcam" back in 2020 and built on this by creating squares.tv. As I talked to more and more users, I discovered more opportunities to make their lives easier. I started with features in Shoot (camera options, pausing, drawing etc..).. Then I created Video Pencil (which connects to your computer and lets you draw on your webcam using your iPad). Then I created "Beat Sheet" which lets you run through "smart scripts", controlling Ecamm Live, OBS and mimoLive. CueCam Presenter is how I'm connecting all these elements. It gives you a virtual webcam, virtual mic, a

Find something that you enjoy doing most of the time. This is not a cliche. It is doable. 2. Get fiber internet, a 4k or better camera, an active noise-cancellation microphone/headset, and lights. It will pay dividends. 3. Separate living from a working environment. When I shut the door of my basement, that's it. Work begins. 4. I have my "office" shoes. I am primed to think that work just started when I am in them. It's a neat way to divide my routines. 5. Occasionally, go to a coffee shop or work with somebody you like for a day. Or go to the office. 6. Prioritize focused time. Block some time on your calendar without distractions. Just deep work. Google Calendar now even offers it under "focused time." I call it "doing the important work." 7. Always turn off sounds,
