Over the last several weekends, I've been building LLMFlows as an alternative to langchain. There's been a lot of discussion on the shortcomings of langchain in the past few weeks, but when I first tried it in March, I thought there are 3 main problems: 1. Too many abstractions 2. Hidden prompts and opinionated logic in chains which makes it hard to customize 3. Hard to debug This inspired me to try and build a framework that solves these 3 issues, and therefore I started building LLFlows with the "philosophy" of being "simple, explicit, and transparent." When I went to transfer them on Ticketmaster I noticed that the domain the email address was at for all of them appeared to be the names of businesses, but none of them had websites or any presence in google when I searched for them. Being the curious person I am, I then went and looked up the WHOIS for the domain. They all were registered in the last six months, supposedly by Stubhub itself (nobody actually verifies the accuracy of WHOIS data though, its all an honor system) It seems to me like there is probably a hustle going on, where someone is buying tickets under fake names and flipping them. Allows you to "pause" a shell pipeline to interactively select a subset of lines to proceed with. I've always wanted a tool like this, as it effectively combines the best of shell pipes (easy to automate) and visual file managers (easy to make selections). Now that I have it I can't believe a tool like this is not already part of the standard set of shell utilities. There are so many situations where it is useful. Tested on Linux but should also work on MacOS. Also: please help me come up with a better name!
